Jonathan Carey to retire from Jupiter << Back

Jonathan Carey is to retire from Jupiter with effect from 15 December 2010.

Jonathan, who has worked at Jupiter for 23 years, held the position of Joint Group Chief Executive alongside Edward Bonham Carter between May 2000 and June 2007, becoming Group Executive Deputy Chairman on completion of the management buy out in June 2007. He stepped back from his full time role in May 2008 but continued to work on a part time basis, assisting particularly in the development of Jupiter's growing offshore business.

Jonathan Carey said: "Jupiter has developed into one of the UK's most respected fund management groups and I am proud to have contributed to the Company's growth during the past 22 years. The IPO in June marked a new phase in Jupiter's development and I am delighted the team are continuing to build on the Company's many strengths."

Edward Bonham Carter, Group Chief Executive of Jupiter, said: "Jonathan's financial and operational expertise has helped build Jupiter into the success it is today and on behalf of all those at Jupiter, I would like to thank him for his contribution and commitment. We wish him the very best for a long and happy retirement."
