Jupiter is delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan Carey as Group Executive Deputy Chairman of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Limited*.
Jonathan, who has worked as Joint Group Chief Executive of Jupiter, together with Edward Bonham Carter, since May 2000, will take on his new role on completion of the Management Buy Out (MBO) by Jupiter's management and TA Associates. Edward Bonham Carter, currently Joint Group Chief Executive will, at the same time, assume full executive responsibility for the Group.
Jonathan Carey said: "Jupiter has grown substantially during the 19 years I have worked here. The past seven years, working together with Edward as Joint Group Chief Executives, have been particularly rewarding as we have built Jupiter into one of the most successful and most respected fund management companies in the UK."
"Having helped take Jupiter into its next chapter, I believe it is now the right time to hand over full executive responsibility for the business to Edward. I have been lucky to have worked with such a talented team and I look forward to continuing to provide advice and counsel to them during the coming years from my new position."
Edward Bonham Carter said: "The partnership between Jonathan and I has been exceptionally strong during the past seven years. His financial and operational expertise has been critical to building Jupiter into the success it is today and I am delighted we will be able to continue to work closely together in our new roles."
Jupiter will have four additional representatives on the Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Board: Adrian Creedy, Chief Operating Officer, and three of Jupiter's leading fund managers - Anthony Nutt, Philip Gibbs and John Chatfeild-Roberts.
TA Associates will have three representatives on the Jupiter Board: Michael Wilson, Managing Director of TA Associates; Christopher Parkin, Vice President of TA Associates; and Richard I. Morris, Jr., Adviser to TA Associates.
