Jupiter Investment Management Holdings appoints Jamie Dundas as Non-Executive Chairman << Back

Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Dundas as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 30th January 2008.

Jamie has broad expertise in the investment banking, finance and property sectors. He started his career in 1972, spending 19 years working in various roles at Morgan Grenfell Group, including three years as Chief Executive of Morgan Grenfell Australia and three years as Head of the Group's Corporate and International Banking Division. Between 1992 and 1996 he worked as Finance Director at the Hong Kong Airport Authority before returning to the UK and joining MEPC plc in a similar role. Jamie was appointed Chief Executive of MEPC in 1999 when it was a listed company and continued as Chief Executive when it was taken private in 2000 until he left in 2003. 

Jamie has worked extensively on the boards of a variety of companies. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered PLC since 2004 and is also a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Drax Group plc (since 2005). He was a Non-Executive Director of J Sainsbury plc between 2000 and 2007. He is the Chairman of Macmillan Cancer Support and a non-executive adviser to Knight Frank LLP.

Edward Bonham Carter, Group Chief Executive
Edward joined Jupiter in 1994 as a UK fund manager after working at both Schroders (1982 - 1986) and the Electra Investment Trust (1986 - 1994). Edward was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 1999 and Joint Group Chief Executive of Jupiter International Group in May 2000. Edward is also Chief Executive of Jupiter Asset Management Ltd and Jupiter Unit Trust Managers Ltd. Edward became Group Chief Executive of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd in June 2007.

Jonathan Carey, Group Executive Deputy Chairman
Jonathan joined Jupiter in 1988 and was appointed Joint Group Chief Executive of Jupiter International Group PLC in May 2000.  Formerly, he was Group Finance and Compliance Director.  Prior to this, Jonathan was Finance and Compliance Director at Marathon Asset Management Ltd and Financial Controller at Gartmore Investment Management Ltd.  Jonathan was appointed Chairman of Jupiter Asset Management and Group Executive Deputy Chairman of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd in June 2007.

John Chatfeild-Roberts, Head of the Jupiter Merlin Independent Funds Team
John joined Jupiter in March 2001 to start and head the Jupiter Independent Funds Team after running multi-manager portfolios at both Henderson and Lazard Brothers Asset Management. John jointly manages the Jupiter Merlin Funds of Funds range with Peter Lawery and Algy Smith-Maxwell, who both came with him from Lazard.  John took over as lead manager of the Jupiter Global Managed fund in November 2001. John is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd and Jupiter Asset Management.


Adrian Creedy, Chief Operating Officer
A law graduate of Cambridge University, Adrian qualified as a solicitor at Slaughter and May in 1987. Having gained extensive corporate and commercial experience at Slaughter and May, he moved to Jupiter in 1994 to set up the legal department. As Head of Legal and HR, Adrian was appointed to the Board of Jupiter International Group PLC in 2003. Adrian, who was appointed Chief Operating Officer on 19 June 2007, is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd, Jupiter Asset Management Ltd and Jupiter Unit Trust Managers Ltd

Philip Gibbs, Manager of the Jupiter Financial Opportunities Fund and Jupiter Second Split Investment Trust: A graduate of Cambridge University, Philip qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell in 1983. Between 1983 and 1990 he worked for Laing and Cruickshank as a stock broking analyst specialising in UK financial companies. Between 1990 and 1997 he performed the same role for BZW. Philip Gibbs joined Jupiter in 1997 and has managed the Jupiter Financial Opportunities Fund since its launch in June 1997. He also manages the Jupiter Second Split Investment Trust, the Jupiter Global Financials Fund (Sicav) and the Jupiter Hyde Park hedge fund. Philip is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd and Jupiter Asset Management.


Anthony Nutt, Manager of the Jupiter Income and Jupiter High Income Funds
Anthony joined Jupiter in late 1995 to manage UK equities after working as a fund manager at both Flemings and TSB since 1983. Anthony has managed the Jupiter Income Trust since May 2000 and the Jupiter High Income Fund since its launch in January 1996. He has co-managed the Jupiter Distribution Fund with John Hamilton since its launch in March 2002. He also manages two investment trusts - Jupiter Dividend & Growth and Jupiter Second Enhanced. Anthony is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd and Jupiter Asset Management.


TA Associates' representatives

Richard I. Morris, Jr., Adviser to TA Associates
Richard has served as an adviser to TA Associates since 2004.  He retired as Vice Chairman of Putnam Lovell NBF Securities at the end of 2002. Richard joined Putnam Lovell in July 1997 as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director, established the firm's London office and was elected President in June 2001 and Vice Chairman in June 2002.  Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cursitor Alliance LLC. Richard was a co-founder, Principal and Chief Financial Officer of the Cursitor companies, an international asset management and research group. He established The London Partnership Limited, which became part of Cursitor, in July 1983.  Richard is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd and is also a non-executive director of Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc., and an adviser to FRM Holdings Limited, a leading fund of hedge funds manager.

 
Christopher Parkin, Vice President, TA Associates
Chris focuses on management buyouts and minority equity investments in growth companies in Western Europe.  Prior to joining TA in 2006, he was an Investment Manager at Lazard Private Equity in London.  He also worked at Bain & Company as a Manager in the Private Equity Group in both London and New York. Chris received a BA degree, with honors, in Mathematics from Oxford University in 1995, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001. Chris is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd.

Michael Wilson, Managing Director, TA Associates
Mike focuses on investments in asset management and transaction processing  companies. He serves on the Boards of Advisory Research, Cardtronics, EYP Mission Critical Facilities and Numeric Investors.  He formerly served on the Board of Chartered Marketing Services and United Pet Group and was actively involved with And 1. Prior to joining TA in 1992, Mike was a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley's Telecommunications Group. In 1994, he joined Affiliated Managers Group, a TA-backed financial services start-up, as Vice President and a member of the founding management team. Mike received a BA degree, with Honours, in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in 1990, and an MBA degree, with Distinction, from the Harvard Business School in 1997, and rejoined TA upon graduation. Mike is a director of Jupiter Investment Management Holdings Ltd.
