The Jupiter Fund of Investment Trusts aims to achieve long-term capital growth through investing principally in investment companies and other closed-end companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. The portfolio is concentrated and looks to take advantage of anomalies within the sector including discounts, management capabilities, corporate actions and capital structure.
The Fund has been managed by Richard Curling since January 2012. Prior to this the Fund was managed by Patrick Harrington. Richard holds regular face-to-face meetings with investment company managers and has a particular focus on the manager's style and approach, asset allocation as well as the quality of the companies in the underlying portfolio. Although he considers the broader economic environment when making investment decisions, he typically follows a bottom-up, stock-specific approach.
