Jupiter Corporate Bond Fund

The Jupiter Corporate Bond Fund is a conservatively managed fund. The manager invests primarily in fixed interest corporate bonds to achieve both a high income and the opportunity for capital growth.

The fund manager, John Hamilton, looks for bonds that offer value and a good balance between risk and reward.  He prefers higher quality issues, with little or no exposure to either emerging markets or riskier high yield bonds.

The value of an investment in a unit trust and the income from it can fall as well as rise and may be affected by exchange rate variations and you may not get back the amount you invested.

Fund prices and yields are calculated as at the valuation point on 5/1/2009. Lipper ratings are sourced from Lipper as at 31/07/2008. Please see the online glossary within the help section for further definition of these ratings.

The manager has the power to invest up to 20% of the portfolio in bonds which are not rated by a credit rating agency. These may include higher yielding bonds which have increased risk of capital erosion due to a higher possibility of default by the bond issuer. Changing market conditions and interest rate levels can also have a larger impact on the value of higher yielding bonds than other bonds.

The Distribution Yield reflects the annualised income net of the expenses in the fund (calculated in accordance with the relevant accounting standards) as a percentage of the mid-market unit price of the Fund as at the date shown. It is based on a snapshot of the portfolio on that day. It does not include any initial charge and investors may be subject to tax on their distributions.
