Investment Companies

 Back to Investment Guides

Investment companies  have existed since 1868 and have similar objectives and characteristics to unit trusts.

Investment companies have a fixed share capital and are listed on the London Stock Exchange. Investors are able to buy shares in investment companies openly on the stock market, and the money raised from the sale of the shares is used to buy a range of underlying investments.

Each investment company will have differing objectives and will invest in different asset classes and geographic regions.

Jupiter manages a range of seven investment companies designed to meet the needs of most investors. Cost-effective access to the world's equity markets is available through the Jupiter Investment Companies Savings Scheme and ISAs.

For your convenience we have included links to some useful independent websites and a Frequently Asked Questions section that provides information about Jupiter's Investment Companies.

The value of an investment may fall as well as rise and may be affected by exchange rate variations.
