Jupiter Unit Trust Managers has launched its redesigned website with new features and content for both private investors and professional intermediaries.

The website, www.jupiteronline.co.uk, has been rebuilt on a new architecture, which provides Jupiter with a scaleable platform for the future and makes it easier to rapidly update the content for business users. This new architecture has enabled Jupiter to address accessibility issues for users with disabilities, such as vision impairment, new navigation and additional features to keep clients better-informed, such as a 'news and views' section that will provide clients with fund managers' most recent views.

Other new features include a literature binder, which enables users to select literature as they are navigating the site and then either download it or order it directly from Jupiter's customer services centre. Further developments will be added throughout 2006, including registration and personalisation and, a re-engineered online dealing service.

Gordon Davidson, joint managing director of Jupiter Unit Trust Managers: "Jupiter's business is expanding rapidly but the way clients are doing business with us is changing significantly. It is crucial for us to constantly reinvest in our business to enable us to adapt quickly to this transformation.

"The expansion of broadband internet services, for example, means that an increasing number of clients are using supermarket and life company platforms to buy their funds. Information, including product literature and news, needs to be delivered to these individuals quickly and this new website, with features such as the literature binder, will enable us to do this."
