Jupiter Unit Trust Managers has been awarded Global Group of the Year in the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards 2006, held last night at London's Albert Hall. This is the third year in succession that Jupiter has won this prestigious accolade - the only fund management group to have achieved this record.
Jupiter has now won 14 awards this year, including Best Specialist Group over 10 years in the Standard & Poor's UK Fund Awards 2006 and Best Large Fund for Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities at the Money Observer Investment Fund Awards 2006.
Edward Bonham Carter, joint chief executive of Jupiter, said: "To win the Investment Week Global Group award three years in succession is a tremendous achievement. It underlines the strength and depth of our fund management expertise and confirms our position as one of the pre-eminent investment companies in the UK.
"Our ability to produce consistent out-performance is not only being recognised by the industry but by investors too. Gross sales of our funds rose to £1.9bn in 2005 from £1.16bn in 2004 and inflows during the first six months of 2006 have been significantly higher than the same period last year."
