Jupiter's Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) and Governance team research companies to determine if they are involved in activities that conflict with the Funds' environmental, social and ethical objectives and to ensure they meet the ethical criteria. If we are concerned about a company's involvement in such activities, we will not invest in it.

Companies that are marginally involved in any of these areas (e.g. if they derive less than 10% of turnover from any one of these activities) may be invested in if they are demonstrating strong environmental and social performance in other respects.
A company that derives over 10% of its turnover from any one of these activities will not be invested in.
In addition, the team avoids companies that conduct or commission animal testing for cosmetic or toiletry purposes. They also pay particular attention to issues such as sustainable sourcing of food and biotechnologies.
