Emma Howard Boyd, Head of Socially Responsible Investment and Governance:
Emma joined Jupiter in 1994 and has overall responsibility for the management and development of Jupiter's SRI business. She is also responsible for building Jupiter's corporate governance and engagement services for institutional clients and Jupiter's UK retail funds.

Emma was appointed to the Commission on Environmental Markets and Economic Performance in 2006 and is a director of the Triodos Renewable Energy Fund. She is also a guest faculty member of The Prince of Wales's Business and the Environment Programme.

Prior to working at Jupiter, Emma specialised in corporate finance at Hill Samuel and Banque Nationale de Paris. She has also worked as a researcher and campaigner for various Non-Governmental Organisations. Emma is a director of Jupiter Asset Management Limited.

 

Charlie Thomas, Manager of Jupiter Ecology fund and Jupiter Global Green Investment Trust:
Charlie Thomas joined the Jupiter Socially Responsible Investment Team in 2000 and, since September 2003, he has been the lead fund manager of both Jupiter Global Green Investment Trust and the Jupiter Ecology Fund. Charlie is also responsible for the management of a number of segregated mandates for Jupiter's institutional clients.

Prior to Jupiter, Charlie spent three years working for BP; firstly as an Environmental Policy Adviser where he was instrumental in developing climate change strategies and policies for the group, and later as a Commercial Analyst working on new business development. He has also worked for the United Nations Environment Programme as well as other financial institutions.

Charlie has a BSc from Nottingham University and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London. 

  Chris Watt, Manager of the Jupiter Environmental Income Fund:
Chris joined Jupiter in 1999 and moved to the UK equity desk in 2000 as an assistant fund manager. In January 2007, Chris assumed management of the Jupiter Environmental Income Fund. Chris is also deputy fund manager of the Jupiter UK Growth Exempt Fund. As a team-based best ideas fund, he works closely with key fund managers on the UK equity desk.

Chris recently attended The Prince of Wales's Business and the Environment Programme. He has a BSc in Geography from Aberdeen University and an MSc Cert in Investment & Finance also from Aberdeen University. 

 

Abbie Llewellyn-Waters, Equities Analyst:
Abbie joined the SRI Team in 2007 as an Equities Analyst. She works alongside Charlie Thomas and Chris Watt, providing global  green equities research. Abbie is responsible for generating investment ideas through quantitative analysis, conducting meetings with company management, and analysing external research.

Prior to this, Abbie was a Request for Proposals (RFP) Executive within Jupiter's marketing department.  She has BA (Hons) Classics from the University College, London and the Investment Management Certificate.


SRI and Governance Team

Edmund Blamey, SRI Research Manager
Joined Jupiter 2008
Edmund Blamey joined Jupiter in 2008 as Research Manager within the SRI & Governance Team. He is responsible for managing the Green and Socially Responsible Investment research function, working with the other research analysts in the team to support Jupiter's fund managers and its business development activities.

Edmund has 12 years experience working in the field of sustainability, most recently at Interface Inc, where he worked as European Sustainability Director for four years. Before that he worked as UK Environmental Affairs Manager at Toyota (GB) for five years. Prior to this he held various environmental related posts in academic and scientific research institutes in addition to carrying out freelance consultancy work.

Edmund has an MSc in Sustainability, Planning & Environmental Policy from Cardiff University and a Joint Honours BSc in Geography & Environmental Biology from St Andrews University.

Jenny Strattan, SRI Analyst
Joined Jupiter 2006
As an Analyst within the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) & Governance Team, Jenny undertakes the strategic analysis of companies' corporate environmental and social performance with a particular focus on examining the environmental benefits and solutions that the business activities of these companies can provide.

Prior to joining Jupiter, Jenny worked with the SRI Teams at Citigroup, Henderson Global Investors and RCM. In these roles she was responsible for generating company profiles and conducting thematic research.
Jenny holds a BA in Economics and Economic History from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, where she specialised in Business and the Environment, achieving a distinction.

Amie Rowlings, Team Administrator
Joined Jupiter 2004
Amie's role is to provide administrative support to the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) & Governance Team. Additional responsibilities include co-ordinating all SRI and Governance publications, maintaining the company approval list for SRI Analyst's, assisting with information requests and maintaining the SRI section of the Jupiter website.

Amie also co-ordinates Jupiter's charity related work including the Jupiter Matched Giving Scheme, as well as the Jupiter sponsored concerts which are part of our sponsorship of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Cynthia Pinniger, Corporate Governance Manager
Joined Jupiter in 1989
As Corporate Governance Manager, Cynthia has responsibility for Jupiter's UK Corporate Governance and Voting Policy for institutional and retail funds. Cynthia undertakes engagement with companies on corporate governance issues.  Cynthia is responsible for producing and publishing voting and engagement reports and co-ordinating responses to Governmental and industry consultations and reviews.

In her early years at Jupiter, Cynthia was an administrator for several large institutional pension funds clients before assuming the additional role of introducing corporate governance voting for institutional pension funds in 1998, becoming Client Corporate Governance Administrator in 2003.

Ashish Ray, Corporate Governance Analyst
Joined Jupiter in 2007
As an Analyst within the Jupiter Socially Responsible Investment & Governance Team, Ashish assists in implementing Jupiter's UK Corporate Governance and Voting Policy for institutional and retail funds.  In addition, he undertakes engagement with companies on corporate governance issues.

Prior to joining Jupiter, Ashish worked at Fidelity International Ltd. (FIL) for the 2007 proxy season as a Corporate Governance Analyst assisting the Corporate Governance Group in applying FIL's voting policy across its US, UK, HK, Japanese and Indian holdings.  Between 2004 and 2007, Ashish was a Research Analyst at Manifest Information Services Ltd responsible for conducting corporate governance research for institutional clients.

Flora Hurrell, Corporate Governance Administrator
Joined Jupiter in 2008
Flora's role is to provide administrative support to the Corporate Governance Team and to facilitate the voting process.  Additional responsibilities include producing all institutional voting and engagement reports.

Flora completed a BSC (Hons) in Rural Land Management at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester prior to joining Jupiter.
