The Defined Capital Return Fund Limited

Jupiter's Defined Capital Return Fund Limited is a Jersey-incorporated, closed-ended investment company. It aims to provide shareholders with defined capital return at its winding-up date (30 October 2009).

The return will depend on the level of the FTSE 100 on 30 October 2009. The Fund has the provision that this index does not fall below 85% of the level on the start date.

Shares have been designed with a similar profile to those of zero dividend preference shares issued by a hypothetical FTSE 100 tracking split-capital investment company.

This is a Structured Capital at Risk Product (SCARP), a general term applying to the investments where the interest or level of return is linked to the performance of the financial index. Full details of the risks associated with SCARPs are available in the Key Features Document. Particular attention however should be paid to the fact that returns are not guaranteed and that investors may get back less than they invested should the FTSE 100 level be less than 85% of the level at the commencement of the company and it's winding up date.
