The trust's objective is to invest in securities of European companies and in sectors or geographical areas considered by the investment manager to offer good prospects for capital growth, taking into account economic trends and business development. Alex Darwall assumed management of the Jupiter European Investment Trust at the beginning of 1999. In November 2000, it was rolled into the Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC.
